They’ve created a corn vodka and agave tequila that naturally change color — with no sugar and zero carbs — and we’re making it in small batches, in a family-owned distillery in Seattle, WA. Founders Rick and Alaina Hewitt wanted to create a beverage that celebrates the changemaker in all of us. Alaina brings her marketing, event planning and restaurant industry knowledge to the table, creating a brand they can all see ourselves in. Pioneering is in Rick’s blood as a third-generation entrepreneur and 10-year veteran of the alcohol beverage industry, having worked on craft brewery and craft cider projects before starting Unicorn Distillery from his garage.

The Distillery

Unicorn Distillery is a family-owned distillery specializing in small-batch vodka and tequila, founded in Seattle, Washington in 2020.

Rick learned about a tea sensitive to changes in acidity (or pH), thanks to the power of its magic ingredient: Butterfly pea flower. Combining a decade of distillation experience with this innovative tea, Rick discovered a catalyst for a new category of spirits and Unicorn was born.

Not only do our premium vodka and tequila go one step further to be made sustainably — our all-natural, small-batch spirits are proudly zero sugar, gluten-free and non-GMO.

They don’t use anything artificial to make vodka and tequila (no preservatives, no coloring agents, etc.) Plus, the signature matte bottles will protect your spirits’ cobalt blue color from fading over time.
